DubLi & Chartity

Did you know that DubLi isn’t just an auction company? DubLi is also deeply involved with charity, sharing the wealth with those less fortunate in society.

DubLi’s first big involvement with charitable causes came in 2008, when DubLi teamed up with American Idol’s 2007 winner, Jordin Sparks. DubLi raised some $5,000 in one incredible auction, which was donated to Jordin’s charity. DubLi and Jordin are still working hard together, making a difference to people’s lives daily. If you want to help Jordin help others, simply go and buy stuff from her site not only are you guaranteed a great DubLi deal, you’re also helping out a charity at the same time!

DubLi also teamed up with two other American charities in 2009, both of whom are doing vitally important work. In April, DubLi donated $10,000 to Blessings in a Backpack, and repeated this remarkable act of generosity in May, when On Earth received their very own donation of $10,000. So what do these charities do? How is DubLi actively helping to make the world a better place for all?

On Earth has a special mission: to decrease poverty worldwide. The latest in research has indicated that if everybody gave just 1% of their interest, world poverty would cease to exist. On Earth wants to spread this message to everyone; sacrificing just $5 - skipping a burger, for example – can help to keep one third world kid sheltered, fed and educated for a whole month. Just imagine how far DubLi’s gift of $10,000 is making an enormous difference to some, right here, right now!

Blessings in a Backpack is focused on helping America’s 12.4 million children (one in six) who live in such poverty that they often cannot eat at home, instead depending on free and reduced meal programs. Blessings in a Backpack provides meals for children to eat at the weekend, ensuring that their needs are being met. Just $80 will feed a child for an entire school year, ensuring that they are being properly nourished and achieving their potential. Children are the future, and Blessings in a Backpack is doing work of vital national importance. We certainly hope that our donation of $10,000 will go far.

DubLi wishes everyone a happy Christmas to all and the very best wishes for the coming year, and asks that we consider that not everyone can be blessed with a comfortable life. Let’s try to change that in 2010, making a huge difference to the quality of other people’s lives!
